Two associated letters from the Book Collectors' Society of Australia, outlining why two bookplates original intended to be tipped in are not (Iris Lily Burke and Nancy Perry) as the participants were unable to supply sufficient copies for the limited edition.

Limited Edition of 100 numbered copies, the first 35 of which have tipped in bookplates and are reserved for those members supplying sufficient quantities of their bookplates for that purpose, this is one of those first 35. Each bookplate is accompanied by one or two pages of text giving a short biography of the member, the origin of his book plate and his principal area of book collecting. Some of the notable collectors covered are Betty and Jeff Bidgood, John M. Chapman, Rodney Davidson, Geoffrey Farmer, Lionel Arthur Gilbert, Edwin Jewell, Brian William McDonald, Ian McLaren, Keith Wingrove, to mention a few. Artists/Designers of the various bookplates include Norman Lindsay, Lionel Lindsay, Charles McCubbin, Peter Chapman, Pixie O'Harris, Vane Lindesay, Jean Elder, David Bromley, Mike Hudson, Angela Lemaire, Ella Dwyer, Walter Crane, Raymond Lindsay and many others.
